About me

Since completing my studies in Germany at the end of 2010, I have been able to grow into the medical profession, different languages and cultures in Switzerland. I spent most of my specialist training in general internal medicine in the Upper Valais and familiarized myself with the most beautiful of all dialects as well as anaesthesia and surgery. I learned French in Fribourg and supplemented my training, including a period at the Inselspital in Bern, with a specialization in clinical emergency medicine - a subject that still makes my heart beat faster. I then went on to work in a gastroenterology and GP practice in Biel, where I learned, among other things, how important the stomach is for well-being.

I find the wide range of development opportunities in medicine fascinating - as a doctor, you learn all your life! The patient stories are impressive - people share beautiful and difficult things in the practice. One of the wonderful things about the medical profession is being able to help make someone feel better. Enduring suffering together, at least a little, when a cure is not possible, is also part of everyday life.

I experience time and again that real satisfaction does not depend exclusively on a perfect physical condition. Even with the best values, you can still be unhappy. Conversely, I am always amazed to see that people can radiate peace despite illness. Being healthy is more than being healthy. As a Christian, I am convinced that we are at the right address with God for our worries. It is my duty to work in a medically sound manner and it is my privilege to be able to personally pass on something of a living hope.

"I love doing good for people. As a doctor, this means having an open ear, wanting to understand and taking a look beneath the surface, because complaints can rarely be explained simply. The complexity of the human body, soul and spirit impresses me and I see it as my job to include all components in my work."
