Appointments with doctors
What does my health insurance pay?
Basic health insurance (OKP) generally covers the costs of mandatory conventional medical services, such as the initial consultation/triage and certain standard in-office laboratory tests. For special plans (HMO, family doctor model, etc.), please check your coverage directly with your health insurance provider.
What do I pay myself?
You are responsible for paying for all non-covered services (NPL) yourself. These primarily include integrative consultations, functional medicine, advanced or specialized laboratory tests (e.g., through laboratories abroad), bioidentical hormone therapies, consultations on micronutrients and dietary supplements, certain infusion therapies, etc.
These services go beyond the scope of coverage defined by law for basic insurance and are therefore considered true additional services. They are not billed through the OKP. A transparent explanation of costs and your written consent (fee agreement) are always provided in advance so that you can make an informed decision.
Appointments with therapists
Certain supplementary insurances cover part of the costs. Check with your health insurance company before the first session. Treatments that are not (partially) covered are self-pay.
