Traditional European Naturopathy (TEN) is a holistic system of medicine based on the rich treasure of European medical knowledge.

Roots in antiquity

The origins of TEN go back to ancient times - to Hippocrates, for example, who understood health as the balance of bodily fluids - and it has been further developed over the centuries by important personalities such as Galen, Hildegard von Bingen, Paracelsus and later Sebastian Kneipp. Today, TEN is recognized in Switzerland as an independent complementary medical method. TEN therapists undergo comprehensive training.

Holistic approach

Central to TEN is the idea that the human being is to be understood as a unity of body, mind and soul. Health arises when these levels are in balance. The therapy is therefore not only aimed at combating symptoms, but above all at activating the natural self-healing powers.

"A holistic view of the human being is the basis of TEN"

Therapy and diagnostics

The therapeutic methods of TEN are diverse. Herbal medicine plays a major role, as do Kneipp water treatments, targeted nutrition, detoxification methods such as cupping or bloodletting, manual therapies and regulatory therapeutic measures, i.e. working towards a healthy rhythm of life. TEN also uses traditional methods for diagnosis: Iris diagnostics, face diagnostics or pulse and tongue diagnostics help to assess people holistically - not only their symptoms, but also their constitution, strengths and weaknesses.
