Good posture without effort?

What does it mean to you to have a good posture?

Are you perhaps like me before I learned the Alexander Technique? I thought that a good posture required a certain physical effort. I thought that I had to make an active effort to have an upright posture. After these strenuous attempts, however, I fell back into myself all the more every time after that. It was simply too tiring and impossible for me to maintain this effort for a long time! So most of the time I was either in this strained, upright posture, or then in my flabby, collapsed posture. This constant change tired me increasingly. Every day I spent with this imbalance and literally fought my way through my everyday life.

In 2003, at the age of 26, I learned about the Alexander Technique and could hardly believe that an upright posture could be different: Unrestrained, light and dynamic! Even my inner posture changed and I became more relaxed, energetic and enterprising.

I wouldn't want to miss the experiences I had with the Alexander Technique. I am glad and grateful to have got to know this technique early in my life.
